Passengers waiting for trains at the railway junction will soon have a unique way to spend their time, as the station is set to introduce a Virtual Reality (VR) experience center. The initiative aims to give travelers a firsthand glimpse into the evolving world of Indian Railways through immersive technology.
By wearing VR headsets, passengers will feel as if they are traveling inside a train rather than simply watching visuals on a screen. The technology will create a realistic experience, allowing users to virtually explore different aspects of rail travel.
The virtual journey will showcase India's modern railway network, including advanced train technologies ranging from Vande Bharat services to future high-speed and bullet train systems. Visitors will also get insights into train operations and the functioning of modern rail infrastructure.
Senior Technician Deepak said that the air-conditioned VR room on Platform No. 1 is nearly ready and is expected to be opened to passengers later this month. The facility will be operated by Vyom Company and will be available free of cost.
Railway officials said the VR center has been designed to familiarize passengers with the changing face of Indian Railways. In case of train delays, travelers can use the facility to experience cutting-edge rail technology and learn how modern high-speed trains operate through an engaging virtual environment.
