A tragic incident was reported from Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area, where an 18-month-old child was seriously injured after being attacked by a stray dog. The victim, identified as Abbas, sustained severe injuries to his face and is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU).
The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. Footage reportedly shows the stray dog attacking the toddler while he was in the locality. Hearing the child’s cries, local residents rushed to the spot and managed to chase the dog away, preventing further harm.
The injured child was immediately taken for medical treatment and remains in critical condition. The incident has sparked panic and concern among residents of the area.
Following the attack, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) launched an operation in the locality and rescued several stray dogs. The animals have been shifted to a safe location. However, the dog responsible for attacking the child has not yet been traced.
Residents have expressed anger over the incident and are demanding that authorities capture the attacking dog at the earliest. The incident has once again raised concerns about the growing stray dog menace and public safety in residential areas of the national capital.
