A bomb threat call has once again been reported in Chandigarh. This time, the information was received at the control room, warning that the DC office and the Student Centre of Panjab University would be targeted in a blast. Following the alert, police and security agencies swung into action immediately.
Security has been tightened at both sensitive locations. Bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and police teams rushed to the sites and launched a thorough search operation. Nearby areas have also been cordoned off, and intensive checks are underway.
According to police officials, no suspicious object has been found so far. However, as a precaution, comprehensive searches are being conducted. Strict surveillance has been put in place for people entering and exiting the DC office and the university campus.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the call may have been made by a miscreant. Nonetheless, the police are examining the matter from all possible angles.
