A major accident was reported on Monday morning in Delhi's Mukundpur area under the Bhalswa Dairy police station limits after a powerful explosion allegedly triggered the collapse of a residential building. Several people were trapped under the debris following the incident.

According to initial reports, three people have been rescued from the rubble so far, while rescue teams continue their search for others who may still be trapped. The exact cause of the explosion is yet to be confirmed, but authorities suspect that a cylinder blast may have led to the building's collapse.

Delhi Police informed news agency ANI that six people were injured in the incident. Their current condition remains unclear, and officials said their health status will be determined after detailed medical examinations.

The Delhi Fire Service stated that it received information about a suspected explosion and subsequent building collapse at around 9:37 AM. Considering the seriousness of the situation, five fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot.

Firefighters, police personnel, and rescue teams are jointly carrying out relief and rescue operations. Authorities said preliminary reports indicate that a loud explosion was heard moments before the building came crashing down.

An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the blast. Officials have not yet confirmed whether a gas cylinder explosion was responsible for the collapse.
