India has removed the outer security barricades and traffic bollards installed outside the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi, according to reports. Videos circulating from the site show that the external security enclosure surrounding the diplomatic mission has been dismantled.

The security arrangement, which included barricades and traffic control measures around the High Commission, had been in place for security reasons. However, no official statement has yet been issued by the Government of India, Delhi Police, or any senior authority explaining the decision behind the move.

The development comes amid continued tensions between India and Pakistan, whose diplomatic relations have remained strained for years. Political and military exchanges between the two countries have frequently contributed to the fragile relationship.

Observers view the move as a reciprocal response to Pakistan’s recent action in Islamabad, where authorities reportedly removed parking poles installed outside the Indian High Commission. Following that development, India appears to have altered security arrangements outside Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in Delhi.

Such administrative measures are not uncommon during periods of heightened tensions between the two neighbours. In the past, both countries have taken steps including reducing diplomatic staff strength, restricting movement and access, and limiting facilities available to each other’s missions.

The removal of the outer security cordon outside the Pakistani High Commission is being seen as the latest development in the ongoing diplomatic exchanges between New Delhi and Islamabad.
