Amid rising gang violence in Punjab, Amandeep Multani has approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking security, citing a serious threat to his life. Multani, who was once closely associated with gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, has filed a petition requesting protection.
In his plea, Multani alleged that he faces grave danger from rival gangster groups led by Lucky Patial and Donny Bal. He told the court that he has been receiving continuous death threats over phone calls, putting his life at risk.
Multani also detailed his past and present circumstances in the petition. He stated that his association with Bishnoi and Brar began during his student years, which led to multiple criminal cases being registered against him. However, he claimed that he has been acquitted in all cases and currently has no pending charges.
He further informed the court that he had lived in the United States for a long period, where he attempted to rebuild his life. Having returned to India this year, Multani said he is now actively involved in social and political activities. He is currently associated with the National Students' Union of India and holds a leadership position.
Emphasizing that he now leads a lawful public life, Multani urged the court to intervene and ensure his safety, stating that his past associations and the ongoing gang conflicts in Punjab continue to pose a threat to him.
