On Monday, the Punjab government transferred 13 IAS officers, including the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of four districts. The orders have been implemented with immediate effect.
Himanshu Agrawal has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Patiala, while Amit Kumar Paanchal will serve as the new DC of Sri Muktsar Sahib. Varjeet Walia has been appointed as the new DC of Jalandhar, and Akash Bansal as the new DC of Kapurthala.
In administrative assignments, Vikas Pratap has been given the role of Additional Chief Secretary of Technical Education. Sumer Singh Gurjar has been appointed Principal Secretary of Defence Services Welfare, Jaspreet Singh as Director of Industry & Commerce, and Abhijeet Kaplish as Director of Mines & Geology.
Additionally, Kavalpreet Barad has been given the additional charge of Faridkot Division along with Health Secretary duties, and Babita will hold the additional charge of Firozpur Division along with her role as Agriculture Commissioner. Harpreet Singh Sudan will now handle the responsibilities of Managing Director of PSIEC along with Sports Director, Jasbir Singh-II has been appointed Additional Secretary in General Administration, and Tejdeep Singh Saini as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) of Jalandhar. According to the orders, Puneet Goyal will hold additional charge of the Traders Commission.
