Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan honoured Gurpreet Singh Kamon for completing one and a half lakh kilometers by cycling, who is a member of the renowned Kotkapura Cycle Riders (Regd.) Club of Malwa region. Speaker said that the entire region is proud of him. Gurpreet Singh Kamon remains active in the field of bicycling for the last 5 to 6 years. His record of 100 kilometers per day bicycling for 100 days is recorded in the Asia Book and the India Book of Records.
Speaker highlighted that Gurpreet Singh Kamon has participated in more than four dozen cycling competitions and brought laurels for Faridkot district. He has also won the title of Super Randonneur and the Star Independent Award. He also achieved Bharatiya Ratna Award from the USIS Company.
On this occasion, Kultar Singh Sandhwan appealed to the people that they must do regular exercise, walking, bicycling and make this a routine habit so that we can live a healthy life.These achievements of cyclist are inspiring for children and youngsters which reflects that no matter what the age be, if you have a strong determination to win or achieve any goal, then no destination is far away.
Sandhwan congratulated the entire family of Gurpreet Singh Kamon and all the members of the Kotkapura Cycle Rider team for this landmark achievement and also wished them a better future. Manpreet Singh Dhaliwal, Rabab Singh and Jashanpreet Kaur Dhaliwal were also present on this occasion.
