A grocery store in Amar Deep Colony, Dera Bassi, Mohali, was targeted by thieves who allegedly stole cash and goods worth around ₹50,000–₹60,000 during a late-night burglary.
According to the shop owner, the accused broke into the store and made away with cash along with several items, including biscuits, ghee, chocolates and other grocery products. The suspects had covered their faces while carrying out the theft.
CCTV cameras installed at the shop captured the entire incident. The footage reportedly shows three youths loitering around the store late on Sunday night before breaking in. The shopkeeper said one of the suspects appeared to be carrying a stick or a weapon-like object.
The accused allegedly broke the shop's locks and entered the premises before fleeing with the stolen cash and goods. After discovering the theft, the shop owner informed the police.
Police teams reached the spot and took possession of the CCTV footage. An investigation has been launched, and efforts are underway to identify the suspects based on the video evidence. Police are also gathering information from nearby areas as part of the probe.
