Top Indian and international stars gear up for high-stakes battle at Boulder Hills from April 14

The stage is set for an electrifying week of golf as the inaugural Boulders Classic tees off from April 14 to 17 at the iconic Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club in Hyderabad. Sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India, the tournament promises intense competition, featuring 132 elite golfers from India and across the globe.

Leading the charge are star Indian golfers Shubhankar Sharma, a two-time PGTI winner, and Yuvraj Sandhu, the reigning 2025 PGTI Order of Merit champion. Both players are expected to headline a strong field in what is being touted as one of the most competitive events on the tour calendar.

The tournament, to be played in a stroke play format, will also witness top Indian contenders such as Saptak Talwar, current 2026 Order of Merit leader, along with Veer Ahlawat, Om Prakash Chouhan, Manu Gandas, Honey Baisoya, and Ajeetesh Sandhu showcasing their skills.

Adding international flavor to the competition, Sri Lanka’s N. Thangaraja will be the top foreign contender, with 20 overseas players from 10 different countries joining the fray. The local challenge will be spearheaded by Hyderabad-based professionals including Mohd Azhar, Vishesh Sharma, and Syed Safdar Hussain, ensuring strong home representation.

Renowned for its world-class 18-hole championship layout and scenic surroundings, Boulder Hills continues to cement its reputation as a premier golfing destination in India. Hosting this marquee event further strengthens Hyderabad’s position in the country’s growing golf ecosystem.

Kapil Dev, President of PGTI, hailed the event as a significant addition to the tour, emphasizing the importance of new venues in expanding opportunities for professional golfers. Meanwhile, Madhusudhan Rao of Emaar Properties expressed pride in hosting a tournament of this scale, highlighting the club’s top-tier infrastructure and readiness.

With top talent, international participation, and a challenging course, the Boulders Classic 2026 promises a thrilling spectacle for golf fans.
