A high-voltage IPL clash is set to take place today at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, where Punjab Kings will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at 3:30 PM. Excitement among fans is evident as large crowds began gathering outside the stadium well before the match.
Cricket enthusiasts from nearby cities like Ambala and Panchkula started arriving early to secure entry. As soon as the gates opened, a surge of fans rushed inside, creating a heavy rush at entry points.
Amid the excitement, a dispute also emerged outside the stadium. Ram Kumar, who had come from Amritsar, alleged that a police officer took his ticket under the pretext of checking and later refused to return it. He further accused the officer of possibly selling tickets in black.
Meanwhile, fans from Ambala and Panchkula reached New Chandigarh in large numbers. Matches between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have historically been thrilling. Out of the 24 encounters played so far in the IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad have won 17 matches, while Punjab Kings have secured 7 victories.
