Punjabi cinema and comedy have paid a heartfelt tribute to late actor Dr. Jaswinder Singh Bhalla, with a prominent junction in Mohali officially named after the celebrated actor. Located near Fortis Hospital, the chowk was formally inaugurated on the occasion of Bhalla's birth anniversary, honoring his remarkable contribution to Punjabi cinema and the world of comedy.

The inauguration ceremony was led by his son and actor Pukhraj Bhalla. Local MLA Kulwant Singh, several artists associated with the Punjabi film industry, public representatives, family members and a large number of fans were present on the occasion. Proposal Passed Unanimously in House Meeting

The decision to name the prominent chowk after Jaswinder Bhalla had earlier been approved by the Mohali Municipal Corporation House. The junction located near Fortis Hospital and the office of the Punjab School Education Board was selected for the honor. Following the actor's demise, the proposal was passed unanimously and has now been formally implemented.
