The Kerala Story 2, which hit theatres on February 27, 2026, is now gearing up for its digital release after a modest performance at the box office. While the first installment created a strong impact commercially, the sequel failed to replicate the same success and remained largely surrounded by controversies.
The film revolves around the lives of three young women from Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Though their backgrounds differ, their journeys intersect through shared experiences of trust, betrayal, and the loss of personal freedom.
The narrative highlights how emotional vulnerability can sometimes turn into control, portraying stories that begin with love and trust but gradually descend into fear and psychological pressure.
Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha in key roles.
According to reports, The Kerala Story 2 will premiere on ZEE5 on May 8. The film, titled The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond for its digital release, will also be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
