Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Saturday announced that she has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), ending her nearly two-decade-long association with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Expressing confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Praising PM Modi, Maliwal described him as the “most popular leader in the world.” She said that Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have taken historic decisions for the country’s development, including major operations and efforts to eliminate Naxalism. She also appreciated the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament and reiterated her complete faith in Modi’s leadership.
