With the wedding season now underway in the country, demand for LPG gas cylinders has increased, especially for large-scale functions and household ceremonies. In such situations, booking cylinders may require a slightly different process than regular domestic bookings.
Reports suggest that ongoing tensions in the Middle East are indirectly impacting the supply and availability of LPG cylinders in some areas, adding to concerns during the peak wedding season.
For weddings and related functions, gas agencies usually provide multiple cylinders based on requirement. Generally, consumers may receive around 5 to 7 cylinders, while in some cases, up to 8 cylinders are also being allotted depending on availability and local arrangements.
Those who need LPG cylinders for wedding purposes are advised to approach their nearest gas agency directly. The process typically includes the following steps:
First, the applicant must visit the nearest LPG gas agency and inform the concerned official that cylinders are required for a wedding or function. After this, identity and supporting documents, including a wedding invitation card, are required to be submitted for verification.
Once the request is approved, a prescribed security or booking amount has to be paid. In many cases, the cylinder cost is later adjusted, and any remaining balance is refunded after final billing.
Officials say that this system is meant to ensure proper distribution during high-demand periods such as the wedding season.
