A shocking incident came to light in Malapur village under the Agroha police station area of Haryana’s Hisar district on Saturday, when the bodies of a woman and her two young children were found inside a water tank at their home. The discovery created panic and grief across the village.
According to police, 33-year-old Mukesh, wife of Amit Kumar, had gone missing on Friday along with her two children, Vansh and Varsha, under suspicious circumstances. Family members searched for them throughout the day but could not find any trace of the three, after which they informed Agroha police.
On Saturday afternoon, villagers noticed bodies inside the water tank built in the house and immediately alerted the police. Officers from Agroha police station, senior officials and a forensic team rushed to the spot. The bodies were taken out of the tank and sent for post-mortem examination.
The forensic team has started collecting evidence from the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Police said the exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report and forensic analysis are completed.
Preliminary information suggests that Amit Kumar works as a daily wage labourer. Following the incident, a large number of villagers gathered outside the house, and an atmosphere of mourning and fear spread across Malapur village.
Agroha police said they are investigating the case from all possible angles and have not ruled out any possibility at this stage
