Himachal Day Celebrations: CM Sukhu Announces Benefits for Employees and Women in Kinnaur

A state-level Himachal Day program began on Wednesday at the Mini Stadium in Reckong Peo, Kinnaur district, inaugurated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

During the event, the Chief Minister announced that Class IV employees who retired between January 1 and December 31, 2022, will receive payments for gratuity and leave encashment in May.

He also declared that all eligible women above the age of 21 in Kinnaur will receive ₹1,500 each. Additionally, the government has withdrawn the order to defer salaries of Class I and Class II employees.

The Chief Minister further announced that a uniform fee structure will be implemented for all students in schools across the state. Addressing the gathering at the Mini Stadium, he said that honest police personnel will be granted one rank higher upon retirement.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes on X (formerly Twitter), greeting the people of Himachal Pradesh on Himachal Day. He praised the state for its rich traditions, unique cultural heritage, and the hardworking, dedicated, and humble nature of its people, while wishing a bright future for all families in the state.
