Senior Congress leader and Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has praised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its working style, particularly highlighting its organisational structure and candidate selection process. He also advised Congress workers to learn from the BJP’s functioning.
Following his remarks, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu strongly reacted and appreciated Randhawa’s statement in a video message. Bittu said he heard Randhawa on TV channels stating that the Congress party needs to learn from the BJP about how it operates and gives top priority to organisational discipline.
Bittu praised Randhawa's statement, in which he had remarked: "I am the in-charge of Rajasthan; if a Congress government is formed here, they immediately start squabbling amongst themselves over the Chief Minister's chair. However, this is not the case in the BJP; there is discipline there." Bittu noted that the BJP High Command itself selected the Chief Minister in Rajasthan, and the government is functioning smoothly, whereas the situation in the Congress party remains the same across every state. Bittu further asserted that in Punjab as well, the BJP would contest the elections with discipline, while the Congress party would end up fighting amongst themselves.
Taking a jibe at the remarks, Bittu referred to the phrase “complete surrender,” suggesting that it reflects Congress’s weakened stance. He also responded to Randhawa’s comment that the BJP sets an example by announcing its Chief Ministerial candidates in a structured manner.
