Self-styled godman Rampal was released on bail on Friday in the sedition case registered in connection with the Satlok Ashram incident in Hisar. Following his release, he will reside with his family at the Satlok Ashram located in Dhanana village of Sonipat district.

According to his lawyer Sachin Das, Rampal has been directed to remain at his residence in Dhanana for the entire duration of the bail period. He is not permitted to conduct any satsang (religious congregation) and must appear in person before the court on every hearing. The next court hearing in the case is scheduled for May 16.

In a notable development, two of Rampal’s close followers were also released on bail alongside him. Among them, Babita had been granted bail five years ago (in 2021), while Manoj had secured bail nearly a decade earlier (in 2016). However, both chose to formally furnish their bail bonds only now, coinciding with Rampal’s release.

After stepping out of jail, Rampal traveled in a Toyota Fortuner, while Babita reached the Dhanana Ashram in a separate Land Rover Defender that was part of the convoy.
